"Fixation" - Scary Movie Trailer

The very talented and creative team I work with was tasked with creating a trailer for a fictitious scary movie. All told, we had about 4 days to work on this from start (pre-production) to finish (final grading and output). The footage was shot on an HVX200 with the Letus 35mm Adapter. My main contribution was the final editing of the trailer. The time crunch was intense, and we'd like to change a few things here and there, but all in all we think it came out great! Thanks to my coworker Kyle Hyams for posting it up on Vimeo. I suggest letting it pre-load all the way through and then allowing it to play so that you won't experience any dropped frames. Enjoy!

Full Sail Online - Video Openers

Although I can't show you the entire set of videos due to copyright reasons, I'm happy to at least be able to show you the openers for a few of the videos I produced for Full Sail Online recently. You'll get an idea of some of the production value we try to put into these movies to keep the viewer (student) engaged.

Script Analysis & Criticism

Anne Russell, one of the course directors for the Creative Writing MFA at Full Sail Online, did a spectacular job with a series of three videos for her SAC course. This opener will give you some insight into the tone of the shoot, which was a combination of a steady main camera with highly saturated colors and a shaky, grainy seconday black and white camera getting alternate angles. My contribution to this project was all encompassing - everything from the original shoot idea to the shoot setup, editing and graphics were handled on my end. That's usually how we work at FSO. Push and Acropolis

To go along with a Media Design MFA course that explains the differences between large ad agencies and smaller boutique design shops, we packed up our gear and headed to downtown Orlando to visit the offices of Push and Acropolis. The final product was a series of three 10 minute videos for each agency that described the roles and responsibilities of the agency and gave the viewer more insight into their daily routines. We had a five person crew working the shoots and when all was said and done it was my responsibility to edit all videos, create graphics and lower thirds and deliver the final movies. Subject Interviews

I've had the great pleasure of setting up shoots and editing interviews with some great talent local to the Orlando area. Unfortunately, since these were also produced for Full Sail Online, they can't be released to the public or else I might get my right hand chopped off. Let's be honest - an injury like that would seriously make it difficult to hold a Wacom pen.
